We will be exploring various disciplines used in combat sports. Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu are primary foundations for the sport today and will be stressed on days 1 and 2. Aiki Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art that is not only great for self-defense, but also widely used by more experienced athletes throughout combat sports. On day 4, we will bring the various disciplines together and introduce a few new ones with our last day being led by professional MMA fighter and former Brentwood Academy wrestler, Seth Sirgo.
This will be a very controlled environment with several coaches available to teach. This will allow for a fun camp that will introduce several disciplines used by combat sports athletes across the world.
This camp is for anyone K-8th grade. It will be from 9 AM – 2 PM on June 8-11 in the Dalton Gym of the Rock. There will be a small concession available for purchase and a 1 hour lunch break each day. Please have campers bring their own lunch and water bottles.
